Eminem and Jack White made sure this year’s Thanksgiving was a holiday to remember in their hometown of Detroit.

During his halftime performance at the Detroit Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game at Ford Field on Thursday (November 27), the White Stripes legend brought out fellow Motor City native Marshall Mathers as a surprise guest.

After performing “That’s How I’m Feeling,” taken from his 2024 album No Name, White welcomed Eminem to the gridiron stage for a rock-flavored rendition of his 2002 anthem “Till I Collapse.”

“Ladies and gentleman, Detroit’s own… Eminem!” he announced to huge roars from the crowd. Em, who was joined by longtime collaborator and D12 groupmate Mr. Porter, then spit his opening verse from the classic song as Jack White and his band played guitar and drums.

After the performance, Eminem commemorated the moment by posting a photo of him and Jack White hanging out at Ford Field with the caption: “Detroit thank u!!! So great to join @officialjackwhite with @iamdenaun at the @detroitlionsnfl Thanksgiving Halftime Show! [football emoji] [sign of the horns emoji].”

White posted the same picture on his own Instagram page, simply adding: “Detroit.”

Em executive produced the Thanksgiving halftime show alongside his longtime manager Paul Rosenberg as part of a multi-year partnership with the Detroit Lions that was announced earlier this week.

The deal will see the duo “consult the [team] on talent selection and all aspects of halftime production through 2027 for the Detroit Lions Thanksgiving Classic presented by Ford.”

“We’re thrilled to be working with Marshall and Paul, who are two of the most accomplished and respected names in the music industry, not to mention longtime Lions fans,” Detroit Lions President & CEO Rod Wood said in a press release.

“Their reputation in the business will attract top-tier talent and help us solidify this annual performance as one of the most anticipated cultural moments on the NFL calendar.”
