Despite Brooke’s manipulative tone, Donna clarifies that she loves spending time with Eric but cannot ignore that he will be a designer until his last breath.

Taylor makes Deacon doubt

Deke informs Sheila and Deacon that he’s still on trial at Hope’s company, but they reassure him that everything will be fine. Deacon then heads out to attend a session with Taylor. During their session, Taylor admits she enjoys studying Deacon’s psyche. Deacon expresses gratitude for her help in boosting his confidence in his marriage. Taylor is pleased to hear this and wonders if his kids will ever accept Sheila. Meanwhile, Sheila attempts to connect with Deke and mend their strained relationship.

Sheila tries to sort things out with Deke

Sheila makes an effort to get to know Deke better and is aware that he doesn’t like her. Deke questions why people who claim to have changed keep appearing in his life. Sheila reveals that all she desires is a peaceful life with Deacon. She also hopes to reconcile with the kids and expresses excitement about attending Hope’s wedding as an opportunity to demonstrate that everything is well within the family. Meanwhile, Deacon tells Taylor he is uncertain if his kids will ever forgive Sheila or if she will even be invited to Hope’s wedding.

Eric walks away

Ridge and Brooke both recap their conversations with Eric and Donna. Ridge desperately wants his father to retire to protect him from stress. Eric contemplates, “Out with the old, in with the new. The company I founded… time for me to leave?” He mentions that he does not want to step away and takes out a photo of himself and Stephanie, questioning whether they are genuinely trying to remove him from the company.
