Expanded Grand National Tour Announced by Kendrick Lamar

Kendrick Lamar has exciting news for his fans: he is expanding his Grand National tour with additional dates!

Teaming up once again with his longtime friend and artistic collaborator SZA, they will be gracing the stage for two more shows in Australia during this remarkable tour.

The newly added stadium performances will take place in Melbourne and Sydney on December 4 and December 11, respectively.

Additionally, it has been confirmed that the talented Doechii will provide support for these two special dates.

So far, Kendrick and SZA have set numerous records on this tour, making headlines and breaking barriers.

In June, they achieved the remarkable feat of breaking the record for the highest-grossing co-headlining tour in history.

Over the course of just 23 shows across America and Canada, Kendrick and SZA have generated an astounding gross of over $256 million.

Their average gross per show stands at an impressive $11.1 million, with a total ticket sales reaching 1.1 million across this record-breaking tour.

On average, each concert has attracted around 48,000 enthusiastic fans, showcasing the duo’s immense popularity.

During a stop in Maryland, SZA took a moment to express her heartfelt gratitude to Kendrick Lamar.

While the two stars shared the stage, SZA reflected on the significant impact her former TDE labelmate has had on her career, acknowledging his influence.

Emotionally, SZA shared: “He put me onto the biggest moment of my life. This is also the biggest moment of my life… I’m so thankful, and I’m so thankful to y’all.”

The two collaborators from Luther embraced in a touching hug before continuing their performance, highlighting their strong bond.

SZA had previously expressed her apprehensions about co-headlining the tour alongside the rap superstar.

In an interview with Chappell Roan for Interview Magazine, SZA opened up about her struggles with anxiety.

She revealed: “Every time I had to go on stage, every time I had to get on a carpet, I’d have full-on panic attacks. I used to not show up to something because it was like, ‘I’m never going to win. No one cares that I’m here. Why would I go?’”

These feelings of self-doubt and anxiety have, unfortunately, influenced her performance on the tour with Kendrick: “Same thing with the Kendrick tour. Everybody’s going to see Kendrick. I don’t even know if I have anything to show these people that’s exciting and new.”
