Explore the complete tracklist for the expanded edition of Live at the Greek below, and enjoy a previously unreleased cover of the Black Crowes’ classic “No Speak No Slave” embedded for your listening pleasure.
Back in October 1999, Page and the Black Crowes joined forces for a series of unforgettable concerts in Los Angeles, New York, and Worcester, Massachusetts. These performances featured set lists dominated by iconic Led Zeppelin songs, interspersed with a selection of Black Crowes tracks and intriguing covers, creating a magical musical experience for attendees.
Initially, the original 2000 edition of Live at the Greek faced restrictions from their record label, preventing any songs from the Black Crowes catalog from being included. Thankfully, this expanded collection rectifies that oversight, restoring the songs to their rightful place, enhancing the overall listening experience.
?The new Live at the Greek box set brings the whole experience of our collaboration with Jimmy Page into a vibrant, electric, mystical, and powerful perspective,” shared Black Crowes frontman Chris Robinson in a press release for this exciting new collection.
His bandmate and brother, guitarist Rich Robinson, reflected on the process, stating, ?Going through the shows and assembling the new box set has been an incredible journey back to that time in our history. It was a once-in-a-lifetime thrill to perform these iconic songs alongside the genius who created them.?
The Live at the Greek album has been expertly produced, mixed, and remastered by Kevin Shirley, and will feature exclusive behind-the-scenes photographs along with additional surprises. ?The new mixes truly capture the essence of those historic encounters, showcasing the explosive passion and the thrilling energy of those alchemical moments,? remarked Page.
