While development of Grand Theft Auto 6 is still underway, emergency personnel have been called to Rockstar North Edinburgh after an explosion. Thankfully, there are reportedly no injuries. While the cause is still uncertain, it may be linked to a boiler that was in the office building.

Windows Central has reported that fire crews attended the scene and that the incident occurred at 5:02 am this morning, January 19, 2026. As of 9:21 am (UK time), the crews have left.
