Jessica Biel has worked hard to overcome feelings of mom guilt.
“One of the best pieces of parenting advice I’ve ever received was ‘you cannot do both at the same time,'” the Better Sister actress shared during a 2022 appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show. “When you’re wrestling on the floor, you’re wrestling on the floor; don’t answer the phone, don’t look at work, don’t text someone, you are wrestling on the floor.”
However, even during those moments of play with her sons Silas, 10, and Phineas, 5, the actress sometimes feels overwhelmed trying to manage everything.
“It’s not easy balancing your entire life,” she told Drew Barrymore. “You want to be present for your kids, your partner, your friends, and still find time for yourself and work.”
As a result, she added, “I don’t think I’m doing it well. I feel like I’m constantly being pulled in a thousand directions. I often say ‘It’s all great!’ while internally, I’m experiencing a chaotic storm of emotions as I try to figure everything out.”
