Fantasy Epic on Netflix Justifies 3-Year Wait for Season 2

The live-action adaptation of One Piece on Netflix has released its second season, achieving immediate success. Upon its debut, One Piece Season 2 received a perfect critics’ score and continues to impress audiences with a 95% score on Rotten Tomatoes. The success of the second season is attributed not only to its initial reception but also to its impressive viewership.

When the first season of One Piece live-action premiered in 2023, it generated significant viewership, leading to the greenlighting of a second season. The show debuted at #1 on Netflix’s Top 10 charts with 18.5 million views and maintained its position in the official charts for 8 weeks. With Season 2 building on this momentum, it is poised to achieve similar results.

Although it has not yet appeared on the official Netflix charts, One Piece Season 2 is currently dominating Netflix’s Top 10 TV shows worldwide just a day after its premiere, ranking above The Dinosaurs. Season 2 continues the adventure where Season 1 concluded, with the Straw Hat Pirates venturing into the Grand Line in search of the legendary One Piece, facing adversaries like Baroque Works, battling new monsters, and exploring uncharted territories.
