Clear your calendars and pack your glitter, boo! Fat Con is coming back to Seattle, and this time, it’s bringing even more fat joy, resistance, and unapologetic fabulousness. From January 16–18, 2026, the West Coast’s largest celebration of fat liberation returns to the King Street Ballroom & Perch, and the theme? Fat Defiance. Yes, ma’am. They’re not just showing up, they’re showing out.

This year, Fat Con is teaming up again with its ultra-sultry sibling event, Fatlesque Fest NW, happening January 15–17 at The Triple Door, for a full five-day ThickMAS takeover that’s equal parts glitter, grit, and ground-shaking fat pride.
What Can Attendees Expect at Fat Con 2026?
Let’s talk headliners:
Ronald Young Jr., podcasting powerhouse behind Weight For It, is serving keynote realness. He’ll be joined by an all-star cast including Lindy West (Shrill), the always bold Jay Atlas (aka The Bad Activist), and the badass trainers from All Bodies Strong in Portland.

In a world where diet culture keeps shapeshifting (hi, Ozempic), Fat Con 2026 stands as a radical act of defiance. As Mx. Pucks A’Plenty, Fat Con Director and overall icon, says:
“We are here to remind everyone that our worth isn’t measured in pounds lost… Diet culture is big business, and these businesses make money off of making us dislike ourselves.”
