Recently, we had a chance to chat with Ja Rule at the popular Hot 97 Summer Jam concert held in New Jersey. Eager to find out how his fellow New York-based rapper is coping after a man named Terrance Dixon initiated a lawsuit against him, we asked about Fats Joe’s well-being and how he is managing the situation.

In case you missed it … Terrance Dixon, who is being represented by attorney Tyrone A. Blackburn, has filed a lawsuit against Fats Joe, claiming that he engaged in a sexual relationship with multiple underage girls. In response to these serious allegations, Fats Joe’s attorney, Joe Tacopina, vehemently dismissed the claims as “falsehoods aimed at tarnishing his reputation and coercing a settlement through public pressure.”

Ja Rule mentioned that he had a conversation with Fats Joe just before performing a tribute to Irv Gotti at the festival. He conveyed that his friend is handling the situation well and maintaining positivity despite the challenges surrounding him.

In fact, Ja Rule revealed that he reached out to see if Fats Joe could join him on stage, but unfortunately, Joe had a prior commitment with his own performance that night and was unable to participate.

Ja Rule clearly holds a lot of affection for Fats Joe during this difficult time. He is not alone in offering support; fellow rapper 50 Cent also spoke out on social media, labeling the accusations regarding Joe allegedly attempting to assassinate him — which were included in the lawsuit — as complete nonsense.

As we mentioned earlier, Ja Rule attended the event to honor Irv Gotti, who passed away in February after battling prolonged health issues. He candidly shared the emotional impact that Irv’s death has had on him, reflecting on their friendship and the legacy Gotti left behind.
