Stanley Henderson, the former director of Stan Henderson & Sons Mortuary, first garnered public scrutiny when a couple from Valdosta claimed that he had provided them with dirt instead of the ashes of their deceased infant, Josiah. Their profound grief transitioned into an intense legal struggle when attorneys from Atlanta, Isaac Lezcano and Matt Wetherington, discovered that Henderson continued to operate without a legitimate license, despite having been shut down in two separate towns for similar offenses. “This is someone who’s been expelled from two different towns for perpetrating the same deceitful scheme on both occasions,” Lezcano informed Channel 2 Action News. Furthermore, it was confirmed that the couple was inadvertently given the ashes of an entirely different individual.

Moreover, the situation escalated significantly when Henderson was apprehended and charged with several felonies, including possession of child pornography and sex trafficking.
