This latest release serves as a preview for their upcoming album, which has been meticulously crafted by Hamilton alongside a seasoned lineup of talented musicians. This group includes drummer Tony Brock (known for his work with Rod Stewart and The Babys), guitarists Peter Stroud (who has collaborated with Sheryl Crow and Don Henley), and Trace Foster, along with the dynamic vocalist Chasen Hampton. In an interview with UCR, Hamilton shared insights into how the material for this highly anticipated album came together in a remarkably organic manner.
?We gathered in Peter’s basement, and there was something uniquely inspiring about that space,? Hamilton recounted. ?We set up a couple of microphones, and the drum sounds we captured were extraordinary. The guitar and bass tones just fell perfectly into place. I arrived with a rough demo of a song I had been pondering, and as soon as everyone listened, they began adding their own stunning contributions. By the end of the day, we had crafted a track that felt incredibly polished and beautiful, far beyond my expectations.?

?The atmosphere in that room was incredibly welcoming,? Trace Foster chimed in. ?It felt like we were just a group of friends having a good time. We generated so much material that when we began reaching out for management, the feedback we received was astonishing?many thought the demos were the final product. We had to clarify, ?No, we plan to re-record everything!??
?Eventually, after listening to our tracks repeatedly, we questioned whether re-recording was necessary at all,? Foster continued. ?Ultimately, we decided against it. The majority of the tracks you hear were created spontaneously by five musicians jamming together in a room, capturing the essence of our collaboration.?

?In contrast to the traditional approach where bands would drop an entire album at once, we are opting for a more modern strategy,? Foster explained. ?We will be releasing several singles initially, with the next batch expected to arrive in February and March. Depending on the response, we may release a fourth single or unveil the complete album at that point. We have poured our hearts and souls into this project.?
Foster expressed the passion behind their music, stating, ?There was an immense amount of blood, sweat, and tears put into this album. We don?t want it to simply fade away; we genuinely hope that our audience will connect with it and enjoy the journey we?ve created.?
Currently, Close Enemies are on tour and recently celebrated a sold-out performance in Boston. They plan to wrap up the month with an exciting show at Daryl Hall’s renowned venue in Pawling, New York, followed by additional performances in Chicago and St. Louis.
