Frances Anderson on Acting Break in Modern Family

In a captivating exclusive interview with E! News in 2024, Jeremy Maguire shared an insightful perspective on his life, stating, “I’ve been told I’m a 30-year-old in a kid’s body.” He further elaborated, “I’ve been told I’m an old soul. Which, I do think that of myself, too.” These reflections highlight his mature outlook on life despite his young age.

Having been born in 2011, just two years prior to the official launch of the beloved series on ABC, he became a cherished member of the Modern Family cast in 2015, portraying the character of Joe Pritchett, the son of Gloria and her husband Jay Pritchett. He expressed his feelings about growing up in the limelight, saying, “When you’re growing up and there’s a camera in front of your face, sometimes you don’t wrap your head around the fact that these aren’t your actual family.” This unique aspect of his upbringing posed challenges, particularly because he formed deep connections with his castmates. After the Modern Family series concluded, he experienced significant sadness, admitting, “After Modern ended, I was so sad ’cause only life I’ve ever known.”

However, he quickly bounced back, showcasing his resilience by appearing in all 12 episodes of Disney’s reboot of Turner & Hooch in 2021. His ambition doesn’t stop there; if he’s unable to find the perfect role, he’s prepared to create it himself. He shared, “It’s very therapeutic,” emphasizing the healing nature of creativity. He has engaged in writing poetry, crafting stories, and developing treatment ideas for scripts that he hopes to explore in the future.
