Recent reports confirm that George Brooks Veikoso, widely recognized by his stage name “Fiji”, sadly passed away at the age of 55.
According to Hawaii News Now, he was surrounded by his loving family during his final moments. Although specific details regarding the circumstances of his passing remain sparse, it has been reported that the talented musician took his last breath in his homeland, Fiji.
Numerous colleagues and friends from the music industry have come forward to honor his life and contributions. Singer Kimie Miner, who regarded him as her mentor, expressed her sorrow, stating, “(His passing) really hurt me because it just felt like I couldn’t call on my mentor anymore, and he’s not there anymore. It made me so sad to know that he’s gone, but his legacy is so big that I know his legacy will carry on forever.”
