Gerard Way’s Brutal Guest Appearance on New Death Metal Track

The Dallas death metal band Frozen Soul has announced their third album, No Place for Warmth, set to release on May 8. They are previewing the LP with its intense title track, featuring My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way.

“No Place for Warmth” merges guttural brutality with melodic grandeur, complemented by a cinematic video. In the clip, Way delivers blackened, semi-spoken vocals while portraying a grotesque hooded figure.

How Did Frozen Soul Collaborate with Gerard Way on ‘No Place for Warmth’?

Frozen Soul vocalist Chad Green describes “No Place for Warmth” as a song about “life at its coldest and the choice to let it consume you or to find warmth in a world that feels void of it. Life is always coming at you, and death doesn’t stop—you might slow it down, but it’s always coming—so you have to make the best out of it and march on.”

Regarding the collaboration with Way, Green explains: “We met Gerard a couple of years ago and became friends. I knew he had a love for metal, so I suggested he sing in a Frozen Soul song, and he was excited! Gerard is an incredible artist and musician whose creative vision has influenced generations.”

What Other Features Does Frozen Soul’s Album Include and What Are Their Upcoming Tour Dates?

Other guest appearances on No Place for Warmth include Machine Head on “Invoke War” and fellow death metal band Sanguisugabogg on “Dreadnought.” The album is available for preorder now.
