Eric Dane’s friends have established a GoFundMe to support his daughters.
The Grey’s Anatomy actor passed away on Thursday (February 19), 10 months after publicly revealing his amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) diagnosis.
He is survived by two children, Billie Beatrice Dane, 15, and Georgia Geraldine Dane, 13, with his ex-wife Rebecca Gayheart.

According to People, his friends have initiated the crowdfunding page to “assist with medical expenses and help support his daughters’ future.”
“It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Eric Dane after a hard-fought battle with ALS, leaving behind his devoted wife, Rebecca, and his two teenage daughters, Billie and Georgia, who were the center of his world,” the GoFundMe states.
“Following his diagnosis, Eric became a passionate advocate for the ALS community, using his voice and platform to support fellow patients and raise awareness. Even as his own health declined, he remained deeply committed to helping others facing the same devastating disease,” the page continues. “As his illness progressed far more quickly than anyone could have imagined, Eric’s friends have come together to create this GoFundMe to support his girls and their future needs.”
“Any contribution, no matter the size, will help provide stability during this incredibly difficult time and in the future for Eric’s wonderful daughters,” the statement concludes.
Actor James Van Der Beek also passed away earlier this month, and a GoFundMe was launched for his family as well. It sparked some controversy after it was revealed that his family purchased their ranch in Texas for $4.7 million before his tragic passing.
