Netflix has released a brand new Wednesday Season 2 video for the long-awaited return of the hit coming-of-age mystery comedy, based on the characters by cartoonist Charles Addams. The next installment will be divided into two parts, with the first part debuting on August 6 and the second on September 3.
“Wednesday Addams returns to prowl the Gothic halls of Nevermore Academy, where fresh foes and woes await,” reads the official logline for Season 2. “This season, Wednesday must navigate family, friends, and old adversaries, propelling her into another year of delightfully dark and kooky mayhem. Armed with her signature razor-sharp wit and deadpan charm, Wednesday is also plunged into a new bone-chilling supernatural mystery.”

Who is in the Wednesday Season 2 video?
The video introduces one of the show’s newest characters in the form of Steve Buscemi as Principal Barry Dorf, who has ability to control fire. He welcomes everyone to his newly-improved Nevermore Academy, where he intends to the right his predecessor’s wrongs by returning the school to its former glory. Joining him are some of the school’s students, include Wednesday, Enid, Bianca, and Pugsley. In addition, he also invites everyone to visit NeveromoreAcademy.com, where fans can have an idea on the what to expect for Wednesday’s new school year. The activities and events set to be featured in Season 2 are Prank Day, The Founder’s Pyre Ceremony, Camp Outcast, and Day of Remembrance.
Wednesday is executive produced and directed by Tim Burton (Beetlejuice, Corpse Bride). The series is led by Jenna Ortega as Wednesday Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia Addams, Luis Guzmán as Gomez Addams, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Isaac Ordonez as Pugsley Addams, Emma Myers as Enid, Hunter Doohan as Tyler, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester, Joy Sunday as Bianca, Moosa Mostafa as Eugene, and Georgie Farmer as Ajax. Season 2 also introduces new cast members Billie Piper, Evie Templeton, Owen Painter, Noah B. Taylor, Steve Buscemi, Joanna Lumley, Thandiwe Newton, Frances O’Connor, Haley Joel Osment, Heather Matarazzo, Joonas Suotamo, and Anthony Michael Hall, with Christopher Lloyd and Lady Gaga. The Back to the Future vet originally portrayed Fester Addams in the original live-action movies, where he co-starred alongside Anjelica Huston and Raúl Juliá.
