Cardi B learned the hard way to be careful with her handbags.
Weeks after sharing that her daughter Kulture doodled on her $60,000 Hermés Kelly bag, the “Bodak Yellow” rapper admitted she moved on from the incident pretty quickly.
“I couldn't even be mad at her because I wanted to see if she was gonna tell me the truth,” she exclusively told The Rundown’s Erin Lim Rhodes April 12 at Revolve Festival, the brand's annual party during the first weekend of Coachella 2025. “I was like, ‘Kulture, did you doodle on mommy's purse?’ And she's like, ‘Yeah! Did you like it?’”
While the Grammy winner—who also shares son Wave, 3, and a baby girl, 7 months, with estranged husband Offset—isn’t dwelling on the matter, she doesn’t plan to pass her collection of designer bags down to her kids in the future.
“Sometimes I be like, ‘Yeah, I want to pass this down to my daughters,’” the 32-year-old, who is set to perform at the invite-only bash, continued, “but I might just wear it when I'm an old b--ch.”
The "I Like It" artist also has several business ventures on the go including an apparel and beauty brand in partnership with Revolve Group, and she recently shared how her passion for fashion led to her career move with the brand.
“I could shop every single day, but there’s always that one pair of jeans that I love. There’s that tank top that I love, and I don’t care how many stains are on it, I’m gonna wear it, because I just love it," she told Women's Wear Daily in an article published April 1. "I want my brand to have that one piece that you buy, that you love, that it makes sense."
Crucially, she wants her brand to be consistent when it comes to sizing, which is often difficult when it comes to women's clothing.
"If it’s a size small, it should be a true size small," she added. "If it’s a size large, it should be a true size large."
The Bronx native also shared that, while she feels the pressure to enter the lifestyle business—following in the footsteps of Rihanna, Selena Gomez, Lady Gaga and more singers—she's ready to rise to the occasion.
"When something is so expected, people want it to be the best, or, they want it to be the worst so they can be like, ‘Haha you don’t know about s--t b---h!’" she explained. "People expect the best from both fields. We have to come in strong.”
