Cardi B came through drippin’ to the 2025 Met Gala.

The “I Like It” rapper arrived at New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art May 5 wearing a low-cut Burberry pantsuit, as she made her sixth appearance at the annual costume ball. (To see all the stars who walked the red carpet at this year’s gala, click here.)

The jaw-dropping look featured a new hairstyle and eye color for the singer, who appeared to rock green contacts to match her ivy outfit. Cardi, who got ready for the outing at The Surrey hotel, completed the ensemble with green nails and a matching trench.

The 2025 gala—hosted by co-chairs A$AP RockyColman DomingoLewis Hamilton and Pharrell Williams, as well as honorary co-chair LeBron James—adopted the theme “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” with a focus on the evolution of Black men’s style. The museum also imposed a “Tailored For You” dress code, which it described as being “purposefully designed to provide guidance and invite creative interpretation.”

And Cardi, 32, knows all about getting creative with a theme, as evidenced by her memorable fashion moments at the event over the years.

For instance, to mark her 2018 Met Gala debut, the Grammy winner—who was pregnant with her and estranged husband Offset’s daughter Kulture Kiari Cephus, 8, at the time—donned a stunning jewel-encrusted Moschino gown and matching headdress, completing the getup with a dramatic train.

From there, Cardi (real name Belcalis Almanzar) continued to prove she knows how to make a statement at the fashion fundraiser, from rocking a feathery red quilted Thom Browne number in 2019 to modeling four separate looks in 2023. But as her outfits have become increasingly spectacular, the pressure to deliver has intensified as well.

“Every single time that I go to the Met, it's fun of course,” she told Vogue in a behind-the-scenes video in 2023. “But after my first time going to the Met, I always get anxiety. And the anxieties just grow and grow and grow. Maybe because my looks are so spectacular that people just expect every year to be more amazing than the last.”

Cardi then joked, “Imagine competing with myself? That is sickening. It’s hard.”
