Imaan Hammam Goes Topless on the Beach for the First-Ever Digital Cover of Vogue France

In the few short months as head of editorial content of Vogue France, Claire Thomson-Jonville has demonstrated she has impeccable taste in models. Faces like Loli Bahia, Natasha Poly, and Vittoria Ceretti have covered the French fashion bible over recent months. Last month, Thomson-Jonville served up not one but three of the industry’s finest as cover girls: Adriana Lima, Joan Smalls, and Lara Stone. Claire (who succeeded Eugénie Trochu in late 2024) taps Imaan Hammam as a Vogue France cover girl for the title’s first-ever digital cover offering. The Dutch beauty, who graced French Vogue back in 2021, poses for photographer Mario Sorrenti. In the striking and visually-arresting cover photograph, the industry favorite dons a head of voluminous curls while posing down on the beach, on the idyllic volcanic island of Saint Barthélemy.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:

“I would not be completely opposed to this digital version as the official cover. I love the rawness of it and Imaan looks beautiful,” immediately commented WAVES.

“Imaan looks absolutely gorgeous in this photo. So striking!” enthused Ihhbl.

Yet not everyone was so forthcoming. She’s reliably stunning, of course. Unfortunate that the background looks superimposed,” disapproved Phuel.

“Not the best shot,” confessed MModa.

“Hmm… a very bland cover,” DK92 chimed in.

“Poor version of Andreea Diaconu’s Vogue Paris cover [from 2013]” critiqued forum member Ludwig.
