Kotaku reporter Zack Zwiezen has apparently confirmed with GTA 6 developers that rumors circulating about missing save functionality are completely bogus and unfounded, and fans can rest assured that the game is not going to face a delay again, at least not due to this specific issue.
While there wasn’t much substance to the initial rumor in the first place, it began to spread like wildfire on a handful of popular GTA 6 social media accounts and convinced at least a portion of fans that Rockstar was set to disappoint players once again. Fortunately, a majority of fans saw through the nonsense and refused to be shaken unless an official delay announcement comes out from Rockstar themselves.
Why Is GTA 6 Taking So Long?
GTA 6 fans are rightfully eager to get their hands on the game as soon as they can, especially taking into account just how long it’s been since it was first confirmed to be in development back in 2022. Players have now been set up and knocked down twice thanks to two separate official delays from Rockstar from the original Fall 2025 release and its May 2026 release.
