The upcoming release of Grand Theft Auto VI is among the most highly anticipated games ever, with millions of players eager to discover what Rockstar has been developing over the years.

What we’ve seen so far in the two official trailers released looks very impressive, but it only offers a limited glimpse into the full game. Since then, two delays to the release date have understandably left many fans feeling anxious.

Recent months have been quite silent, and we must assume that no news is good news for now, but an update may be imminent that could determine the potential November release date.

Is GTA 6 Still On Track For Release Date?

On Reddit, one user shared a meme indicating that we are nine weeks away from the next earnings call for Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company. Traditionally, this has been when delays are confirmed, and we should expect similar news regarding the release date during the next call in May.

The responses included many anxious fans sharing GIFs and brief comments questioning whether the earnings call could lead to another delay.

“9 more weeks until all our hearts get broken,” one comment stated.

“Concerned for the developers honestly, really hoping they don’t pull any surprises and decide to delay the game and lay off more staff,” another added.

It’s crucial to remember that there will be updates on the progress of GTA VI during the earnings call, but we currently have no reason to believe they plan to announce a third delay.

We’ll Know For Sure In May

No matter what happens, we should know more once the earnings call occurs in May. If no delay is announced, we will likely have a clear path to launch in November. If they confirm that the game is being pushed into 2027, it’s hard to predict how negatively the community will react.

Fingers crossed that GTA VI releases in November and meets all expectations, with multiplayer modes expected to follow shortly after.
