During a candid conversation on the Girlboss Radio podcast, Gwyneth Paltrow expressed her feelings about her past relationship with Brad Pitt, which she described as “f–ked up.” Host Sophia Amoruso brought up the connection they shared in the mid-to-late 1990s, a time when they met on the set of the thriller Se7en, where Paltrow portrayed his ill-fated wife. Their bond blossomed during this period, leading to a deep affection that would leave a lasting impact on both of their lives.
In 1996, as Brad Pitt received a Golden Globe for his role in 12 Monkeys, his heartfelt acknowledgment included a special mention of “especially the love o’ my life, my angel, Gwyneth Paltrow.” Their engagement, highlighted by matching haircuts, illustrated the depth of their relationship. However, their romance came to an end in June 1997, leaving both stars to ponder what went wrong.
Paltrow has openly reflected on her role in the breakup, indicating that she felt a significant amount of responsibility for the relationship’s demise. In a 2003 interview with Diane Sawyer, she remarked, “I’m so lucky that I spent time with Brad, somebody who was such a good person!
