When is the Halloween video game release date?
The Halloween video game will be released on September 8, 2026, and will be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The new trailer for the game shows Haddonfield, the setting for the game and the 1978 movie, and provides a brief look at what controlling both residents of Haddonfield and Michael Myers will be like.
According to IllFonic’s announcement for the game, players can take on the role of Myers as he stalks his way through Haddonfield, or play as one of the Haddonfield locals, trying to disrupt his plans. IllFonic describes the game as a “1 vs. many experience” that will feature “masterfully recreated locations and ambiance from Halloween.”
“Stick to the shadows as Civilians, seeking out Haddonfield residents to warn them and searching for a way to contact the authorities,” reads the game’s official description. “As Michael Myers, give them a reason to fear the dark and cut the phone lines to prevent the police from ruining his favorite holiday. Whether playing solo in story mode, against bots offline, or facing others in online multiplayer, each mode rewards stealth, strategy, and skillful play.”
