HGTV CANCELED Christina Haack! What’s Next for Her Ex?

Estimated Reading Duration: 3 minutes

Christina Haack has navigated the conclusion of her marriages several times, which is something she has become accustomed to.

This observation is not made from a critical standpoint; rather, it’s simply a reflection of her reality, as she has experienced three divorces. This is an unavoidable aspect of her life.

Currently, however, the talented interior designer will face the need to adapt to an entirely different kind of ending:

The transformation of her professional landscape as she has known it.

A reliable source has confirmed to both People Magazine and Us Weekly that HGTV has opted NOT to renew Christina on the Coast for another season.

This cancellation is part of a broader trend at HGTV, which has recently discontinued numerous popular shows, including Bargain Block, Farmhouse Fixer, Married to Real Estate, and Izzy Does It.

Christina on the Coast had a successful run spanning four and a half seasons, with its last season premiering on February 27, following the filing of divorce by Haack’s ex-husband, Josh Hall, after nearly three years of marriage in July 2024.

Interestingly, he made guest appearances on several episodes earlier this season.

The series primarily focused on Christina undertaking various renovation projects for families whose homes were in dire need of transformation.

Christina Haack gained fame on television alongside her first husband, Tarek El Moussa, through the hit series Flip or Flop.

Despite the fact that they endured a tumultuous divorce years ago, the former couple has since managed to establish a positive co-parenting relationship.

The 43-year-old Tarek, along with his wife Heather, has also faced challenges, as reports indicate that their show Flipping El Moussas is “not returning” to HGTV either. However, according to Us Weekly, their collaborative project The Flip Off is expected to return for a second season.

Yet, as of now, there are no confirmed filming dates or premiere dates available.

This news comes as a shock, particularly since The Flip Off premiered in January and became HGTV’s highest-rated debut series among adults since 2022, showcasing the competitive spirit of home renovations between Christina, Tarek, and Heather.

On July 8, Christina celebrated her 42nd birthday and hinted that she might still return to HGTV.

She expressed a desire for “a new season of filming, larger and more impressive design projects, extensive travel, increased Pilates, and a deeper exploration of spiritual and wisdom coaching alongside my girl” in the upcoming year.

It seemed as if Christina was envisioning a brand-new season of her show.

Unfortunately, her aspirations did not materialize as expected.

The future remains uncertain for Haack, who is currently in a relationship with someone named Christopher Larocca.

In an interview with People Magazine back in January, she revealed that filming Christina on the Coast provided her with a much-needed distraction during her divorce from Josh Hall.

“It definitely served as a diversion. I believe it helped alleviate some stress,” she shared during that time.

“The production itself was stressful for various reasons, not just related to our dynamic. The rapid pace of flipping a house after such a long hiatus was challenging. Thus, I think it was a beneficial distraction.”
