In a recent discussion, the stars of The Boys spin-off, including Jaz Sinclair, who portrays Marie, shared their insights on this comparison, ultimately providing a definitive answer to which of the two superheroes holds more power.
Jaz Sinclair believes Marie Moreau can confront Homelander from The Boys
During an interview with MovieWeb, Jaz Sinclair confidently supported her Gen V character in a hypothetical match-up against Antony Starr’s Homelander.
When asked if Marie could take on the maniacal leader of The Seven, she responded simply, “I think she can.”
In a separate conversation with ComicBook, Sinclair was questioned about who she believed was more powerful between Marie and Homelander. While considering her response, Sinclair glanced at her Gen V co-star London Thor, who immediately replied, “Marie is.” Sinclair then echoed Thor’s assertion by stating, “I think so, because of the blood stuff.”
Derek Luh, who plays Jordan Li alongside Thor in the series, elaborated on how Marie could overpower the Boys’ toughest adversary by explaining, “I mean, you can control his inside…He’s still a human at the end of the day that took [Compound] V.”
Chris Killian of ComicBook later inquired if this was how Marie would ultimately defeat Homelander in the final season of The Boys. However, he only managed to elicit a sly smile from his interviewees, with Sinclair playfully replying, “You wish.”
