Electric Feel Publishing signed producer and writer duo Pebbles&TamTam, whose credits include ILLIT’s “NOT ME” and Yeri Mua’s “BFF.” The pair just enjoyed a breakout success as artists with the single “PINK LIKE SUKI,” which has amassed more than 20 million streams on Spotify. The duo released Sleepover! the mixtape in May.

Music licensing platform Soundstripe teamed up with Abu Dhabi-based indie music company PopArabia to create a series of songwriting camps for artists and songwriters based in the MENA region. The first camp took place in October in Abu Dhabi, where more camps will be held over the next two years. The companies are also looking to expand with additional camps elsewhere in the region.
According to a press release, the camp that took place in October resulted in 23 songs that will become part of Soundstripe’s catalog.
“Arabic music and music from the MENA region is rapidly gaining popularity, and we’ve seen an uptick in requests on Soundstripe,” said Soundstripe CEO Jeff Perkins in a statement. “As part of our overall global strategy, we wanted more original music from the region in our catalog and wanted to expand in the most artist-friendly way possible. PopArabia was the perfect partner.”
