In just a month, Dead & Company will host an unforgettable series of three live performances in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park to honor the remarkable 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead. The grand finale of these concerts, scheduled for August 3, will be broadcast live in IMAX theaters, providing fans with an immersive experience that captures the essence of the celebration.
A total of 30 movie theaters, spread across the U.S. and Canada, will stream this iconic concert live for fans unable to attend in person. Tickets are available for purchase now, and each ticket includes a special commemorative poster along with a laminate/lanyard, which will be available for attendees at the venue.
Alongside Dead & Company, each of the three concerts will feature exciting guest performances. On August 1, the talented Billy Strings will take the stage, followed by Sturgill Simpson on August 2, and the renowned Trey Anastasio Band will close out the series on August 3.

Recently, Dead & Company wrapped up a highly successful residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Currently, the performances at Golden Gate Park are the only concerts on the band’s calendar, following an announcement earlier this year regarding their farewell tour.
In a conversation with Rolling Stone, Bob Weir shared insights about the band’s future, mentioning ongoing discussions about a potential reunion involving himself, bassist Phil Lesh, and drummers Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Grateful Dead. Tragically, Lesh passed away in October 2024, marking a significant loss for the band and its legacy.

“With Phil’s passing, that notion of a reunion dissipated,” Weir stated. “We no longer have a bassist who has been with us for 60 years, which was an intriguing prospect. It’s essential to have someone anchoring the band. Phil brought a unique perspective and creativity to our sound that is irreplaceable. I have always appreciated the way Phil provided that foundation for our music in his distinctive style.”
