Christopher Nolan’s highly anticipated film The Odyssey is generating significant buzz in the film community, not only for its compelling story but also because it marks the director’s most extravagant production to date. This film is notable for being shot entirely with IMAX cameras, a feat that IMAX CEO Rich Gelfond described as a monumental challenge. Gelfond recounted, “A year before Chris started filming The Odyssey, he called me and expressed his desire to shoot the entire film using IMAX technology. Gelfond elaborated, “That couldn’t be done for a lot of reasons. There were lots of issues.” He continued, “I’m going to give you a challenge. If you can figure out how to solve these problems, I’m going to make Odyssey 100% with IMAX cameras.” After overcoming these obstacles, Gelfond confirmed that this will indeed be the first film ever to be entirely filmed with IMAX cameras.

Currently, the teaser trailer for The Odyssey is exclusively available in theaters, with the online release still pending.
