Jack Osbourne Shares Heartfelt Tribute Video for Ozzy

Jack Osbourne, the son of iconic rock star Ozzy Osbourne, has released a heartfelt video tribute on YouTube, titled “Some Memories of My Father.” This touching video captures the essence of their relationship and showcases cherished moments.

The video opens with a nostalgic clip of young Jack on Howard Stern’s radio show, transitioning into a montage of cherished photographs featuring Jack and his father, Ozzy, throughout the years. The emotional backdrop is enhanced by Ozzy’s poignant song, “So Tired,” resonating throughout the footage.

In the video’s description, Jack expressed his profound grief, stating, “I haven’t really wanted to post anything since the passing of my father. My heart has hurt too much.” He reflected on Ozzy’s multifaceted role in his life, saying, “He was so many things to so many people, but I was lucky and blessed to be part of a very small group who got to call him ‘Dad.’ My heart is heavy with sadness and sorrow, but also full of love and gratitude. I got 14,501 days with that man, and I know what a blessing that is.”

Sadly, Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22 at the age of 76, just 17 days after gracing the stage at his “Back to the Beginning” farewell concert, marking the end of an era for rock music.

Jack further shared a quote that encapsulates his father’s spirit: “I think this quote best describes him: Hunter S. Thompson once said: ‘Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body…but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, ‘Wow! What a ride!’ That was my dad. He lived — and he lived fully. I love you Dad.”

How Did Ozzy Osbourne Die?

According to the official death certificate filed by his daughter Aimee, Ozzy’s passing was attributed to cardiac arrest and coronary artery disease, with a noted medical history of Parkinson’s disease. The document further defined his occupation as a “songwriter, performer, and rock legend,” a fitting description for a man who profoundly impacted the music industry.

A somber funeral procession honored Ozzy in his hometown of Birmingham, England, on July 30, followed by a private funeral ceremony held at his estate in Buckinghamshire on July 31, where family and close friends gathered to pay their final respects.
