As the World Boxing Association reassesses Jake Paul’s ranking, Bryce Hall firmly believes the organization initially made the right call. In an exclusive interview with TMZ Sports, Hall expressed that Jake Paul truly deserves his current position because he is stepping into the ring against legendary fighters, showcasing his determination and skill in the sport of boxing.

During our conversation with the multifaceted TikTok star, actor, and aspiring boxer at Sweet Butter Kitchen in Los Angeles, Hall shared his thoughts following the WBA’s announcement of Paul’s No. 14 ranking. This ranking came after Paul’s impressive victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., further solidifying his place in the boxing world.

However, this ranking is currently facing scrutiny and backlash from critics, including fellow cruiserweight Craig Parker, who voiced his discontent, stating, “It felt like a slap in the face.” This reaction highlights the ongoing debate regarding Jake Paul’s legitimacy as a ranked fighter.

Hall finds this criticism ridiculous, especially given that Paul has notable victories against iconic fighters like Mike Tyson, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley, and Nate Diaz. These wins demonstrate that Paul is not just a social media personality but a legitimate contender in the boxing arena.

“I genuinely believe that Jake Paul deserves this ranking,” Hall stated emphatically. “He’s actively participating in fights with legendary opponents. It’s irrelevant who he chooses to face; what matters is that he’s in the ring putting on a show.”

“He’s stepping up to the plate, facing tough challengers, and knocking them down,” Hall added, emphasizing Paul’s competitive spirit and ability to engage with formidable opponents.

Additionally, Hall noted that Paul is instrumental in attracting a fresh audience to the sport of boxing, which is crucial for the industry’s growth and revenue generation. Paul’s influence is helping to revitalize the sport and bring in a new wave of fans who may not have previously followed boxing.

In a similar vein, Hall is also eager to carve out his own path in the boxing world. The 25-year-old previously faced Austin McBroom in 2021 and fought Gee Perez in a bare-knuckle match in 2023, demonstrating his commitment to the sport.

Earlier this year, Hall had a fight lined up against Kimbo Slice Jr., but unfortunately, his opponent withdrew from the match. This setback has not deterred Hall’s ambition to continue pursuing boxing and making his mark in the ring.

When we inquired whether he still desires to fight Kimbo Jr., Hall’s response was insightful. Check out the clip to hear his thoughts on this potential matchup and his future in boxing!
