Janelle Brown Slams Kody Brown Over Robyn’s Comment

Janelle Expresses Concerns About Kody’s Financial Management and Priorities

In a candid discussion about the family’s financial struggles, Janelle voiced her frustration regarding the inability to settle the debts related to Coyote Pass. She revealed that Kody asserted he had “all these other debts,” yet she observed him acquiring various assets, such as trailers and home décor. Janelle pointed out, “I see all the art on their walls,” referencing the possessions in Robyn and Kody’s residence. She further explained, “I see all these things. And that’s fine; I have money and I’ve spent it on things, too.” Kody responded by explaining that a significant portion of his finances was allocated to purchasing cars—he mentioned having “basically had a fleet”—and paying for insurance for their children.

While Janelle admitted uncertainty about how Kody and Robyn managed their finances, she expressed astonishment at the well-maintained state of Robyn’s backyard. “I used to always be surprised at how nice her backyard was. It was completely finished, and there was always, like, stuff at her house. And I was like, ‘Wow. Huh,'” she shared, indicating her feelings of disbelief about their spending patterns. This raised questions for her about the couple’s financial priorities and decision-making.

Ultimately, Janelle conveyed her dissatisfaction, stating, “He doesn’t prioritize what I need or what I want.” This misalignment of priorities began to take a toll on her emotionally. She noted, “I think after a while, I began to see it, and my kids were getting very angry about it, like my adult children. Like, ‘What the hell, Mom?'” The emotional strain was evident as her family members echoed their concerns about Kody’s financial choices and their impact on Janelle’s well-being.

Robyn, however, offered a different perspective on financial management, emphasizing her careful budgeting habits since her previous marriage ended. “I used to be not so great with money,” she admitted during the September 22 episode. “When I was young, I had hard knocks, and then I learned during my divorce really how to budget myself very, very well.” She clarified that the differing financial priorities among the sister wives were simply a matter of perspective, stating, “You just must have had a different priority of where your money was going to go than I did, that’s all.” This highlights the contrasting approaches to financial management within the family dynamic.
