Jimmy Kimmel has become one of the most successful hosts in late-night comedy, thanks in part to his amazing writing team, including his wife, Molly McNearny.

Jimmy and Molly have a unique relationship where they can work together professionally while remaining married! The couple even shares a carpool to work since Molly is the co-head writer and executive producer of Jimmy Kimmel Live! She was also part of the Oscar team behind Jimmy’s hilarious monologue as the executive producer of the show.
Their first meeting wasn’t very charming
“When I first met him, he insulted me,” Molly recalled during an interview with Glamour. “The executive producer introduced me as his new assistant, and Jimmy barely looked up until he heard I compete in triathlons, at which point he said, ‘That is really stupid! What a waste of time.’”
Even after that introduction, Molly stayed at the company for six years before they even went on a date!
It was Jimmy’s cooking skills that won Molly over
Although both were dating other people when they first met, they eventually spent time together as co-workers until Cupid struck after a long day of filming when Jimmy cooked for her.
Of course, workplace romances come with challenges; Molly was nervous because she loved their writing team and didn’t want to disrupt the dynamic.
A star-studded wedding
The couple got engaged during a South African safari and chose to marry on July13,2013 in Ojai, California with many Hollywood stars in attendance.
Molly and Jimmy have two children
The couple welcomed two children into their family: daughter Jane born in July2014 and sonBilly born in April2017.
Jimmy also has two children from his previous marriage toGina Maddy.
