Frisco King will begin production later this month in Fort Worth, Texas, and Paramount+ has announced who will be joining Samuel L. Jackson in the Tulsa King spinoff.

Samuel L. Jackson will star in the series as Russell Lee Washington Jr., who was first introduced in the third season of Tulsa King. Joining him will be Asa Germann (Gen V), Kai Caster (Spider-Noir), Lilah Pate (Outer Banks), and Savanna Gann (English Teacher).

Taylor Sheridan Will Write the First Season

All eight episodes of the first season of Frisco King will be written by Taylor Sheridan, with Christina Alexandra Voros and Michael Friedman directing. Voros will helm the pilot.

Jackson’s iconic character,” said Matt Thunell, President, Paramount Television Studios. “Having him pen all episodes of the season with his singular voice will be a treat for fans of Tulsa King and audiences around the world.
