Jordan Duggar’s Role in Jessa Duggar’s Baby No. 6 Birth

Jessa Duggar Reveals Heartwarming Role of Her Sister Jordyn Duggar in Welcoming Baby No. 6

Jessa Duggar emphasizes the importance of family support during significant moments.

In a recent announcement regarding the birth of her sixth child with her husband, Ben Seewald, the 19 Kids and Counting star shared how her sister Jordyn Duggar played an essential and touching role in this special family event.

During a YouTube video posted on August 4, Jessa explained, “I told Ben, ‘You’ve never cut the cord. This time, you should definitely cut the cord,’” emphasizing that she was “playfully teasing him.”

“I am aware that he has a very sensitive stomach when it comes to such situations,” she added. “While he is incredibly supportive and encouraging throughout my labor, he prefers to keep his distance from the more graphic aspects. So he typically responds with, ‘No, thank you.’”

Nonetheless, Jessa—who is also a proud mother to Spurgeon, 9, Henry, 8, Ivy, 5, Fern, 3, and George, 20 months, with Ben—shared that she had warmly invited her sister to be “part of this birth” and viewed it as a significant opportunity for them both.

“This was Jordyn’s first experience attending one of my births,” Jessa enthusiastically shared. “So I suggested, ‘Jordyn, why don’t you cut the cord?’ She was genuinely thrilled about the idea and got the chance to cut the cord herself.”
