Joseph Baena Wins Bodybuilding Contest, Son of Arnold Schwarzenegger

Joseph Baena Celebrates First Bodybuilding Competition Win

Joseph Baena is making a mark in the bodybuilding scene.

The 28-year-old son of Arnold Schwarzenegger followed in his father’s footsteps at his inaugural bodybuilding contest in Denver on March 28, where he showcased his impressive physique and outperformed his competitors.

During the NPC Natural Colorado State competition, Joseph secured first place in multiple categories including Men’s Open Bodybuilding Heavy Weight Class, Men’s Classic Physique—Novice, and Men’s Classic Physique—True Novice, while finishing as the runner-up in Men’s Classic Physique—Open Class C.

In an Instagram post following the event, Joseph—whose mother is Mildred Baena—shared several photos of himself flexing and posing on stage, celebrating his achievements with the caption, “Mission Accomplished!”

Joseph’s success in bodybuilding certainly reflects his father’s achievements in the fitness world—including five Mr. Universe wins and seven Mr. Olympia titles—but the Dancing With the Stars alum emphasizes that he is not solely relying on genetics. Days before the contest, he provided insight into his strict diet, highlighting that cultivating healthy habits is a crucial aspect of his routine.
