Judas Priest kicked off their exhilarating summer 2025 Shield of Pain tour with an electrifying performance featuring a strong emphasis on tracks from their iconic Painkiller album during an unforgettable evening at Rockfest in Turku, Finland. For those eager to relive the magic, we have included the complete setlist along with fan-captured videos from the show below.
This remarkable concert showcased seven out of the 19 songs performed, all hailing from the groundbreaking 1990 album, which marked a pivotal moment for the band as they powerfully re-established their dominance in the heavy metal scene amidst the rise of thrash metal legends like Metallica and Slayer.
After featuring only the title track from Painkiller during their previous 2024-2025 Invincible Shield tour, lead vocalist Rob Halford and his bandmates reinvigorated the setlist with the dynamic one-two punch of “All Guns Blazing” and “Hell Patrol,” along with classic hits such as “A Touch of Evil,” “Night Crawler” (making its first appearance since 2012), “One Shot at Glory,” and “Between the Hammer and the Anvil” from the celebrated album at the Rockfest show.
Additionally, the evening marked a historic moment with the live debut of “The Serpent and the King,” a track from the band’s latest release, the 2024 album Invincible Shield. Surprisingly, the band opted to exclude the iconic opening track “Electric Eye” from Screaming for Vengeance from the setlist, leaving fans buzzing with anticipation.
