Santa may have just come early for Jujutsu Kaisen fans, as with only a few weeks to go until Season 3 releases, the series has just surprised fans with a brand-new trailer. The excitement among fans has been palpable leading up to Jump Festa, which always brings with it a host of exciting updates, and Jujutsu Kaisen is no exception.
Jujutsu Kaisen dropped a new trailer at Jump Festa 2026, giving fans their first real look at Season 3, which is set to premiere on January 8, 2026. The trailer previews the exciting upcoming Culling Game Arc with first glimpses at several new characters as well as the new Season 3 opening, “Aizo,” performed by King Gnu.
Jujutsu Kaisen Drops Its Best Trailer Yet at Jump Festa 2026
While fans caught a small glimpse of the Culling Game Arc in the latest compilation film, Jujutsu Kaisen: Execution, the newest trailer previews much more than Yuji and Yuta’s fight at the beginning of the arc.
The Culling Game Arc is set to be a grand battle royale spanning various colonies across Japan, and as such, Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen will be jam-packed with fights. Some of these, such as Choso’s fight against Naoya Zenin and Maki’s fight against the Zenin Clan, have already been teased in previous promotional material.
But the latest trailer teases all-new upcoming battles, including Yuji versus Hakari, which looks like it’s going to be a visual feast. The new teaser also includes a sneak peek at Megumi versus Reggie, and Yuji versus Higuruma, with even a split-second cameo by Judgeman, Higuruma’s shikigami.
Jujutsu Kaisen Finally Introduces Its Most Awaited Characters
That said, easily the most exciting part about the new Season 3 trailer is the new character cameos. The trailer includes a first look at many crucial characters from the upcoming season, such as Higuruma, Takaba, Kirara, Hakari, Master Tengen, and Angel, who, as introduced in the teaser, will be the key to unsealing Gojo from the Prison Realm.
Fans are also introduced to the Culling Game itself and its adorable insect-like host, Kogane. Furthermore, the Japanese voice cast for several of these new Season 3 characters has also been revealed. Most notably, Kinji Hakari will be voiced by Kazuya Nakai, who fans may best recognize as Zoro from One Piece.
Meanwhile, Hiromi Higuruma will be voiced by Tomokazu Sugita, whose most notable roles include Gintoki from Gintama, Joseph Joestar from JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, and Himejima from Demon Slayer. Other cast members include:
- Kirara: Yuki Sakakihara
- Takaba: Satoshi Tsuruoka
- Kogane: Neeko
- Reggie: Yutaka Aoyama
All that to say, Season 3 of Jujutsu Kaisen is shaping up to be a very exciting affair, and with this new glimpse of what’s to come, the excitement among fans has reached an all-time high. With King Gnu returning for the new opening as well, Jujutsu Kaisen is certainly making a momentous return this Winter 2026.
