Katy Perry Addresses Romance with Justin Trudeau Subtly

Katy Perry has turned her sights towards new shores.

After pictures of the “Dark Horse” singer kissing former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on a yacht in Santa Barbara surfaced, Katy seemingly addressed her burgeoning romance during her Lifetimes Tour stop in London, Oct. 13.

During the concert, the 40-year-old—who was previously engaged to Orlando Bloom—received a surprise marriage proposal from an audience member, according to Daily Mail. In response, 24 hours after her and Justin’s pictures together made the news, Katy said, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.”

She also hinted that her normal type has perhaps shifted.

“London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?” she noted. “No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time.”

She then quipped, “But not anymore.”

This is the closest the “Teenage Dream” artist—who is mom to 5-year-old Daisy Dove Bloom with Orlando—has come to addressing her apparent romance with Justin since they were first spotted dining together back in July.
