When it comes to Katy Perry, you’re going to hear Justin Trudeau roar.
In fact, the former Prime Minister of Canada had nothing but kind words after he and the “Teenage Dream” singer met with Japan’s former Prime Minister Fumio Kishida and his wife Yuko Kishida during a recent trip abroad.
After the Japanese politician posted a picture of their lunch together, referring to Katy as Justin’s “partner” in a caption translated from Japanese, the 53-year-old wrote back, “Katy and I were so glad to have the chance to sit down with you and Yuko.”
“Thank you, Fumio, for your friendship,” Justin continued on X (formerly Twitter), “and your continued commitment to both the international rules-based order and to a better future for everyone.”
In the photo of their meeting, Katy—sporting a green two-piece skirt set with a black turtleneck, tights, and booties—smiled as she posed with Justin, who wore a gray suit with a light blue collared shirt, as well as Fumio and his wife in front of a Christmas tree.
