Kendrick Lamar, Drake Beef Hinted By Grammys Host

During his sixth and final hosting of the Grammy Awards, Trevor Noah delivered layered jokes that kept the audience engaged! A little shade here, a few laughs there. Noah didn’t hold back on his jabs at President Donald Trump, while keeping it light with artists like Kendrick Lamar.
He had other celebrities laughing after he explained to K. Dot why he didn’t prepare any roast jokes about him! The reason involves Drake.

Meanwhile, far from the Grammys, Trump reacted to the jokes Trevor Noah made. As expected, the president threatened legal action. The Recording Academy had announced less than three weeks prior that Noah would be returning “one last time.” During the show, Noah remarked, “I believe in term limits.”

Kendrick Lamar Is All-Smiles As Trevor Noah References Drake Beef

As with previous Grammy shows, Trevor Noah showcased his hosting skills! At one point, he connected with the night’s biggest nominee, Kendrick Lamar. No jokes were made here, just congratulations and an explanation that had the audience in stitches!

“I actually thought about writing a few jokes roasting you, but then I remembered what you can do to light-skinned dudes from other countries,” said Noah, who hails from South Africa. “Yeah, me and my delegation are still recovering from the pain.”

If you missed it, Trevor Noah was alluding to Kendrick Lamar’s 2024 feud with Drake, which inspired the Grammy-winning hit ‘Not Like Us.’ Drizzy is still fighting for his reputation in 2026. Last month, he filed an appeal against the dismissal of his defamation case against Universal Music Group for distributing the track.

Trevor Aims At Trump With Epstein Island Comment, President Claps Back

The jabs at Trump began during Trevor Noah’s monologue and continued throughout the night. He mentioned that Lauryn Hill was performing on the show for the first time since 1999. Then came the slights directed at both Trump and Diddy.

“Do you understand how long ago that is?” he asked. “Back in 1999, the president was involved in a sex scandal, people thought computers were about to destroy the world, and Diddy was arrested.”

However, Trevor Noah played it a bit safe during his monologue compared to how he turned up after Billie Eilish won Song of the Year. In her acceptance speech, she called out Trump’s anti-immigration agents by saying “F*ck ICE.”

“Wow. That is a Grammy that every artist wants,” Noah remarked, “almost as much as Trump wants Greenland. Which makes sense because Epstein’s island is gone; he needs a new island to hang out with Bill Clinton.”

After hearing the crowd’s reaction to his joke during the show, Noah said, “Oh, I told you it’s my last year. What are you going to do about it?” Later, following the show in a Truth Social post, President Donald Trump responded.

“Noah said INCORRECTLY about me that Donald Trump and Bill Clinton spent time on Epstein Island. WRONG!!! I can’t speak for Bill, but I have never been to Epstein Island or anywhere close to it. Until tonight’s false and defamatory statement, I have never been accused of being there—not even by the Fake News Media,” read Trump’s post. “Noah, a total loser, better get his facts straight and get them straight fast. It looks like I’ll be sending my lawyers to sue this poor pathetic talentless dope of an M.C.”

At another point during the show, Noah joked about Trump’s tendency to sue TV networks when he stated that the Grammys were airing “completely live” because “if we edited any part of the show, the president would sue CBS for $16 billion.” This comment referenced Trump’s recent history with CBS News and a settlement he received from Paramount last summer.

Nicki Minaj Caught A Stray, Too!

More Young Money shade? Later in the night, Trevor Noah noted that Nicki Minaj was missing from the Grammys audience. The crowd cheered as he quipped, “She is still at the White House with Donald Trump discussing very important issues,” jokingly implying her political ties.

This week, Minaj visited D.C., where she praised Trump at his Account Summit before visiting the White House and attending the ‘Melania’ film premiere at the Kennedy Center. She has aligned herself with MAGA energy on several occasions recently. Doing an impression of Trump at the Grammys, Trevor Noah said, “Actually Nicki, I have the biggest a*s; everybody’s saying it Nicki.”
