And he may fare even better this time, as he leads all nominees with nine nods (including nominations for album, record, and song of the year). This marks the third time the American rapper has secured the most nominations, after earning 11 in 2016 and eight in 2019. Lady Gaga, along with producers Jack Antonoff and Cirkut, also scored the most nominations, each receiving seven. The list of nominees was announced during the Recording Academy livestream on November 7.
Lamar, who now has 22 Grammy wins under his belt, is yet again nominated for record, album, and song of the year — marking the third time the rapper has achieved the same feat. His other six nominations include Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, Best Rap Performance, Best Melodic Rap Performance, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Album, and Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals. Lady Gaga, who is also a strong contender (with a total of 14 Grammy wins as of writing), now has 45 Grammy nominations, including nods for the Big Three categories: Record of the Year, Album of the Year, and Song of the Year. Bad Bunny, on the other hand, scored six nominations, including for Best Música Urbana Album, Best Global Music Performance, and Best Album Cover, while Sabrina Carpenter followed suit with a total of six nominations as well.
