Now he has social media talking again after revealing some personal details. The rapper finally addressed his divorce with Dreka Gates, and his comments have people reconsidering everything they thought they knew about their separation.

Kevin Gates Discusses His Split From Dreka Gates & The Internet Is Engaged!

Kevin Gates went on a full rant on social media, discussing his divorce from Dreka Gates. He didn’t hold back at all, accusing her of “attacking his image.” He also challenged his estranged wife to “tell the truth” about their alleged Islamic marriage. Kevin made it clear that they’ve been separated since 2020.

Things got heated when he called her out for filing for divorce, claiming she only did it after he stopped giving her money. Kevin alleged that Dreka and her family stole money from him while he continued to support her during her new relationship. He expressed frustration over her spreading false information and told her if she’s going to speak on him, she needs to tell the facts. “Tell them the truth […] cause you are a goddess. You’re just a goddess of manipulation and darkness. Tell the truth.”

He didn’t stop there. He reiterated his claims about money, stating that Dreka used his funds to open a dispensary that failed. Overall, he admitted that he’s tired of the false narratives and done being portrayed as a deadbeat dad.

“When you do interviews, don’t even bring my name up. Tell them about how you stole my money to go open up a dispensary and it wasn’t even open a month.”

Dreka Gates hasn’t responded to Kevin’s rant yet. But before he spoke out, she filed for divorce in July 2025 after nearly a decade together. TMZ reported she cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their split. Additionally, she requested spousal support and joint legal and physical custody of their two children — Islah and Khaza. Dreka reportedly asked for $27,193 a month in child support and $46,274 a month in spousal support. At the time, Kevin called Dreka’s claims “factually baseless” and stated they never legally married. However, TMZ reports that the two actually tied the knot in October 2015.

Kevin’s Love Life Keeps The Internet Talking

Before Kevin addressed his divorce with Dreka, fans quickly noticed him getting close with Brittany Renner. In March 2025, he had people questioning where he stood with Dreka while appearing cozy with Brittany. However, their relationship turned out to be short-lived. Brittany revealed in an interview that they were married for just 52 days and allegedly divorced in May 2025. By December 2025, Kevin moved on to a new partner, Jelenny Tejada, who he later confirmed is actually his new wife. Since then, he’s continued to post videos with Jelenny, who has even been featured in his latest music video, ‘Real N***a Holiday.’
