A video featuring Kid Rock saluting an Apache helicopter outside his home in Nashville has sparked controversy regarding the nature of the event.
Kid Rock Critiques California Governor in Viral Video
Over the weekend, Kid Rock posted a video on his social media, showcasing what seems to be an Army Apache attack helicopter flying near the pool of his expansive residence, which he refers to as the “Southern White House.”
The post does not clarify how the incident unfolded. Instead, Rock took the opportunity to criticize California Governor and potential Presidential candidate Gavin Newsom.

“This is a level of respect that shit for brains Governor of California will never know,” Rock stated. “God bless America and all those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to defend her.”
However, it was not the comment about Newsom that caused some viewers to react negatively to the video.
Backlash Over Kid Rock’s Helicopter Stunt
The post by Rock has received a flood of comments in the last 24 hours. Some users praised the helicopter salute, while others questioned how such an event was permitted.
“Using our taxpayer dollars that fund the military for social media stunts… nothing weird, right?” one Instagram user commented.
“Imagine thinking this looks cool instead of ridiculous,” another user remarked on X. “Military choppers aren’t your personal props and our tax money isn’t a slush fund for ego boosts.”
The authenticity of the video and whether it was orchestrated by the U.S. government remains uncertain.
Would the Military Fly Past Kid Rock’s House?
No evidence suggests that the appearance of the Apache helicopter was pre-arranged. It is plausible that the helicopter was already operating in the vicinity.
Fort Campbell, located on the Kentucky/Tennessee border northwest of Rock’s residence, is known for military training exercises that may occur over residential areas.
“Those missions are funded through readiness budgets and often take place over civilian areas, even when they appear unusual in isolation,” reports Military.com.
