Reiterates Kidnapping Allegation

Emmanuel Haro‘s mother Rebecca is maintaining her kidnapping allegation from jail, where she remains a primary suspect in the 7-month-old’s disappearance.
Rebecca spoke with reporters on Sunday and continues to deny any involvement in little Emmanuel’s missing status, reaffirming her previous claim that her baby was taken from the parking lot of a Big 5 Sporting Goods store in Yucaipa, CA.
Although authorities believe Emmanuel is deceased, Rebecca stated she refuses to give up on her baby and expressed a willingness to assist investigators in their search.
She also denied inquiring with employees at Big 5 about the existence of surveillance cameras days before reporting Emmanuel’s disappearance.
Rebecca’s comments came as her husband, Jake Haro, who is also a suspect in Emmanuel’s alleged murder, was seen assisting investigators in their search for his son in Moreno Valley, Riverside County, CA.

Dressed in an orange jumpsuit and shackles, Jake appeared to be assisting investigators as they searched through the mountainous area on Sunday. However, they found no body.
Both Rebecca and Jake were arrested on Friday on suspicion of murder, with authorities later stating they believed the kidnapping “did not occur,” citing evidence from physical and electronic searches as well as interviews.
Before the couple’s arrest, investigators noted they could not rule out foul play due to inconsistencies in Rebecca’s account.
The Haros are currently being held without bail and are expected to appear in court for the first time on Tuesday.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department has yet to provide a new update regarding the search for Emmanuel. Stay tuned for more updates.
