‘Killin It Girl’ by j-hope and GloRilla is Fan Favorite

The dynamic collaboration between J-hope and GloRilla titled “Killin It Girl” has emerged as the clear winner in this week’s highly anticipated new music poll.

Published on Friday, June 13, the poll conducted by Billboard showcased the preferences of music enthusiasts who overwhelmingly selected the exciting partnership between the BTS member and the Memphis MC as their top choice for the freshest release of the week.

The infectious track “Killin It Girl” dominated the poll, capturing a remarkable 87% of the votes. It outperformed a variety of competitive new releases, including Lil Tecca with his album Dopamine, and singles from renowned artists such as Mark Ronson and RAYE (“Suzanne”), Zara Larsson (“Midnight Sun”), Brandon Lake (King of Hearts), and Gunna (“Won’t Stop”).

“Killin It Girl” showcases an entrancing hip-hop flow that beautifully captures the exhilarating sensation of love at first sight. In this track, GloRilla embodies the persona of a captivating and irresistible figure. She confidently declares, “He said I be killin’ it, I said I do this everyday,” adding a bold flair to this lust-filled anthem.

This latest single from J-hope follows an incredibly busy year for the K-pop star, who has also graced listeners with successful tracks such as “Sweet Dreams” featuring Miguel and “Mona Lisa.”

Discussing his collaborations, J-hope expressed, “’Sweet Dreams’ featuring Miguel — an artist I’ve long respected — has a smooth, soulful vibe that feels deeply personal. In contrast, ‘Mona Lisa’ delivers an energetic, hip-hop-driven performance that is both captivating and invigorating,” he revealed to Billboard in May.

He concluded this exhilarating global tour on June 13 with a electrifying show at Goyang Stadium in South Korea.

The “other” category in the poll held strong, securing second place with 10% of the total votes, while Lil Tecca’s fifth studio album, Dopamine, landed in third place with nearly 1% of the votes.
