Kim Novak Reacts to Sydney Sweeney Portraying Her in Film

Why Sydney Sweeney “Never Felt Confident” About Her 32DD Boobs Until ‘Euphoria’

Kim Novak isn’t feeling euphoric about Sydney Sweeney portraying her onscreen.

The Vertigo actress reacted to the Euphoria star’s casting in the upcoming drama Scandalous—which is set to chronicle her 1950s romance with Sammy Davis Jr.—explaining why the move drew her ire.

“I would never have approved,” Kim told The Times of London in an interview published March 27, arguing that Sydney, 28, “sticks out so much above the waist.”

While the 93-year-old noted that she and the late jazz legend—who dated briefly from 1957 to 1958 amid tabloid scrutiny over their interracial relationship—“had so much in common,” she expressed concern about the biopic focusing primarily on the former couple’s physical connection.

“There’s no way it wouldn’t be a sexual relationship because Sydney Sweeney looks sexy all the time,” she continued. “She was totally wrong to play me.”

Sydney’s casting in the project was first reported in October 2024, with Industry alum David Jonsson attached to play Sammy and Colman Domingo set to make his directorial debut, according to multiple outlets.
