The original voices are back, with Mike Judge reprising his roles as Hank and Boomhauer, alongside Kathy Najimy as Peggy, Pamela Adlon as Bobby, Stephen Root as Bill, Ashley Gardner as Nancy, and Lauren Tom as Minh and Connie. It’s heartbreaking to note that Johnny Hardwick, the voice behind Dale Gribble, passed away in 2023. However, it’s been reported that he had completed work on “a couple” of the new episodes before his passing. The future of his character remains uncertain; the team may choose to retire Dale’s character, or a new voice actor might take over the role. In a joint statement, 20th Television Animation and Hulu expressed, “Johnny Hardwick was an incredibly beloved member of the King of the Hill family, whose immense talent, brilliant humor, and friendship will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of working with him over the last 25 years. Our heartfelt condolences go out to his friends and family as we mourn the loss of one of animation’s greats. His voice brought life to one of our most iconic characters, and he will be truly missed.“
