Klay Thompson did not hesitate to defend Megan Thee Stallion on Wednesday (November 12). A new episode of the podcast ‘Hoopin’ N Hollerin’ seemingly had Klay a bit upset after its hosts Jason Williams and Patrick Beverley made comments about his girlfriend! Thompson expressed his feelings in an Instagram comment that has since gone viral.
Megan remains tight-lipped about how her knight in shining armor approached her! However, her fans are celebrating, considering the moment a double victory for Thee Stallion. This is particularly significant as Klay spoke out on the same day a court denied Tory Lanez‘s appeal to overturn his conviction for shooting her.

Klay Thompson Responds to Former NBA Players for Commenting on Megan
During Wednesday’s episode of ‘Hoppin’ N Hollerin,’ Thompson’s performance this season was under scrutiny. According to ESPN stats, Klay has become a situational contributor—a veteran presence with occasional scoring bursts. He is struggling to consistently meet his elite shooter status. This season, he averages 8.5 points per game, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.9 assists. His three-point shooting percentage is also at 28.9%. All these numbers suggest that while he remains a valuable player for the Mavericks, Klay may not be performing at his peak.
While discussing these statistics (and more), Megan Thee Stallion caught some stray comments from Jason Williams and Patrick Beverley. It appears Patrick was also dissatisfied with Thompson’s remark about being “out of [his] prime.” Pat Bev stated that people keep giving Klay “a pass,” but he argued that he’s “never seen Klay not shoot it like this.”
“It only takes one p****y to drag a battleship across the desert,” Williams replied to Pat Bev. “Klay Thompson I ain’t saying that’s what it is, but that might be what it is.”
As previously reported, Megan and Klay Thompson went public with their relationship during the offseason earlier this year, and they have been going strong ever since! As that clip circulated online, Klay responded to the comments in an IG comment section.
“Referring to my GF as a “pussy” is so disgusting and disturbing. Especially from someone who played in the NBA. How would y’all feel if I referred to your wives in such a way? @patbev21 Do better fellas. Very disappointing.”

Meanwhile…Tory Lanez Loses Appeal In Shooting Case
In other news related to Megan Thee Stallion, Tory Lanez faced a setback in court this week. A California court on Wednesday denied the Canadian rapper’s appeal of his guilty verdict on charges he fired a gun at Megan. A three-judge panel from the California 2nd District Court of Appeal issued a ruling affirming the conviction of the 33-year-old on three felony counts. Tory’s team can still petition the California Supreme Court to hear the appeal.
In December 2022, Tory Lanez was convicted of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, having a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle, and discharging a firearm with gross negligence. His trial became a cultural obsession, raising questions about gender, race, hip-hop, friendship loyalty, online toxicity, and violence against Black women. Megan Thee Stallion testified that in July 2020, after they left a party at Kylie Jenner’s Hollywood Hills home, Tory Lanez fired a gun at her feet.
Tory is currently serving a 10-year sentence at the California Men’s Colony near San Luis Obispo, California. Officials transferred him there after he was stabbed by a fellow inmate at California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi. An Instagram post on Lanez’s account stated he was stabbed 14 times and both his lungs collapsed.
