Chanel has surely made use of Margot Robbie as their brand ambassador. Since signing on the dotted line with the fabled French fashion house in 2018, the Australian actress has since fronted campaigns for the Gabrielle and No.5 fragrances – in addition to wearing Chanel looks on the red carpet and showcasing creations via the covers of Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. Therefore, it comes as no surprise to see Matthieu Blazy calling upon Margot Robbie to appear in the latest installment of the Chanel 25 handbag campaign for 2026. Photographed by Craig McDean, Margot totes an array of variations of the hobo-inspired silhouette. In the accompanying video, Michel Gondry directs Robbie and pays homage to Kylie Minogue’s iconic “Come Into My World” music video from 2001.

Read below the reactions of theFashionSpot’s forum members:
Lola701: “It’s great, it’s fun, and for once, Margot seems in her element with the styling! She is working that contract like Anna Mouglalis, and Vanessa used to: beauty, fashion, bags!”
Snejana Onopka: “Beautiful and fun! I dislike nostalgia, but in this case, it works really well.”
Kite: “BRILLIANT! No notes. Joyful, cinematic, luxurious, and fun!”
tigerrouge: “At this point, I’m just happy that it’s not another Chanel campaign featuring sulky teenagers with inexplicably large spending allowances.”
Vogue28: “I do like how joyous and fun the video feels, but the print campaign imagery gives me the complete opposite. Such weak and lifeless photography from Craig McDean. There’s no energy or anything. It’s all just a bit… flat!”
