L.A. Guns has unleashed an electrifying new single entitled “Lucky Motherfucker,” which serves as the second track from their highly anticipated album Leopard Skin, set to drop on April 4. The accompanying music video, featuring vibrant visuals and dynamic performances, can be viewed below, promising to captivate fans and newcomers alike.
This latest release is firmly anchored in a blend of funk-rock riffs and a colossal groove, embodying L.A. Guns’ recent inclination toward vintage classic rock, steering away from their glam and heavy metal roots. The new single follows last month’s similarly hard-hitting track “Taste It,” showcasing their consistent evolution and commitment to delivering high-quality music.
Continuity is a standout theme in both tracks’ music videos. In “Taste It,” actor Mark St Pierre won a radio contest to experience L.A. Guns performing their new single live. He reprises his role in “Lucky Motherfucker,” where he explores the lively streets of Los Angeles alongside the band, visiting iconic spots like a record store and a costume shop, adding a narrative layer to the visuals.

Tracii Guns Shares Insights on the Anthem ‘Lucky Motherf—er’
“The title ‘Lucky Motherfucker’ pretty much encapsulates the essence of the song,” guitarist Tracii Guns expressed in a recent statement. “I can’t think of many other bands that have stood the test of time for nearly 40 years, not just by touring regularly, but also by consistently releasing new music. Our journey seems to grow more exhilarating with each passing year.”
Guns elaborated, stating, “It’s clear that our strong work ethic is yielding the results we aim for. Our fans remain enthusiastic, we feel motivated, and the creative process continues. As long as there’s a demand for this genre of music, we have every reason to keep going and pushing boundaries in our craft.”
The upcoming album Leopard Skin represents L.A. Guns’ 15th studio album and marks their fifth release since the reunion of Guns and vocalist Phil Lewis in 2017. Following the successful release of Black Diamonds in 2023, Leopard Skin is now available for preorder. To support the album launch, L.A. Guns will embark on an extensive U.S. tour starting on April 22 in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, following a performance on the Monsters of Rock Cruise next week.
